As a President of EffectiveUI, I have the unique opportunity to listen to how companies like eBay, Ford, Random House, Viacom, GE, Dow Jones, and NBC think about the internet & desktop software, and how innovative thinking can completely change the way they do business. We have had the opportunity to brainstorm new applications for these companies (and others), mostly built on top of the Adobe platform. We find ourselves primarily developing using FLEX 2.0 3.0 and AIR, technologies developed by Adobe. We also have experience with the other “RIA” technologies, like AJAX / DHTML, Open Laszlo, Flash, WPF, and Silverlight.
We try not to focus too much on the “technology” though. Rather we focus on creating elegant interfaces that solve specific business goals, the technology is just the means to this end.I hope to be able to provide a little insight, and inspire discussion on the next generation of engaging an audience on the web and beyond…
